The Four Phases of the Basis Membership

When we opened Basis in 2018, our mission was clear: to create a thriving community gym that delivers the best group class experience while empowering you to take better care of yourself for life. And while we've accomplished a lot, we have asked ourselves: What more can we do to serve this community and its members?

This question has sparked a big shift in how we operate—a shift rooted in clarity, purpose, and results. I’d like to share our new membership framework designed to better support your unique goals and create outcomes that truly last.

The Four Phases of the Basis Membership

1. Assessment:

Assessing your current capabilities, obstacles, & setting your sights on the ideal outcome. 
We begin with a thorough understanding of your current physical capacities, lifestyle habits, and personal goals. This phase sets the foundation for what’s possible by identifying where you are today and what it will take to move forward.

2. Blueprint:

An approach unique to you. Think, Your vision + Our Expertise = The results you’ve always wanted
This is a comprehensive plan, unique to you & your ideal outcome. Leveraging Nutrition, Personal Training, Lifestyle (think how life outside the gym impacts progress) & group training to make significant impact and progress toward your initial goal. Want a shift in body composition? To train for an endurance event? Or for the first time, make lasting behavior change? This plan will meet you where you are at and use 1:1 coaching to align your decisions and actions with the results you want.

 

3. Optimize:

A program & Workouts written for you and your goals 
The only thing standing between you and your end goal is time. This is individualized programming written by your coach &  delivered via our app. Access to group class & open gym, your program will be designed to optimize your time in the gym without the need for 1:1 training. 

4. Build:

General Training in Large Groups 
This is where many of you are now—using group classes as a tool to maintain progress or to build upon the foundation you’ve already established. 

Why the Shift?

We’ve realized that while group classes offer tremendous value, they’re not always enough to solve individual challenges. As coaches, we want to offer realistic expectations and provide the structure, focus & support to deliver incredible results. This new structure allows us to do just that. 

We recognize that this shift may not resonate with everyone, however we’re confident this direction aligns with our mission and will best support the growth of our community.
