Plateau or Blind Spot?
At some point in your training, you’re going to feel like things aren’t working anymore.
You may think and say:
“I was making progress… and now It’s not working.”
“I don’t feel motivated.”
“Nothing’s changing.”
And when that happens, there’s a natural assumption that something’s wrong—with the plan, with your effort, with your body.
But here’s a question worth asking:
Has progress really stopped? Or have you just lost sight of what progress looks like right now?
Let’s be real—progress isn’t always loud.
Sometimes, it’s subtle. Sometimes, it looks like maintenance during a hard week, or a better decision made under stress. Sometimes, it’s choosing rest instead of burnout.
But if you’re only measuring progress by external wins—weight loss, PRs, aesthetics—you’ll miss the deeper changes that actually lead to those long-term success.
So what’s really going on?
So what’s really going on?
When someone tells me they feel like they’re stuck, we usually uncover one of three things:
1. They’ve forgotten what they’re working toward.
Not just the surface goal, but the why behind it.
If you don’t reconnect with your deeper reason, it’s easy to feel like you’re spinning your wheels—even if things are improving.
2. They’ve stopped acknowledging what the wins along the way look like
The most consistent clients aren’t always the most fired up.
They’re the ones who’ve built the habit of noticing what’s working—reps that felt smoother, meals that left them more energized, fewer bad days in a row.
That’s how they keep going: by recognizing progress in motion, not just at the finish line.
3. They’re doing the right things, but expecting the wrong timeline.
Strength takes time. So does fat loss. So does healing from pain or injury.
The gym—and your body—aren’t Amazon Prime. Just because you ordered it doesn’t mean it shows up in 48 hours.
The best outcomes are a product of sustained effort over time, not intensity over a weekend.
You don’t need to overhaul your plan.
You need to see it clearly again.
The truth is, clarity and momentum are tightly linked. When you lose sight of what you’re aiming for, it’s easy to feel like your progress has stalled. But most of the time, it hasn’t—it’s just not being measured in the ways you expected.
And this is where coaching comes in.
Not to give you more workouts. Not to add more pressure.
But to bring things back into focus:
What are you training for—really?
What’s getting in your way?
What actions still match the outcome you care about?
We’re not chasing endless improvement for its own sake. We’re chasing alignment with a compelling life.
Training to live well— To feel strong and capable in your body. To be the kind of person who shows up fully—for your work, your family, your goals.
When you lose sight of that? Progress always feels like it disappears.
But when you reconnect to it? You realize you’ve been moving toward it this whole time.
So before you throw out the plan or start over, pause. Recalibrate.
Because chances are, it hasn’t stopped.
You just need to see it again.
This is my purpose these days… to help folks realize they’re much closer than they think. If you want that clarity…well, thats what I do.
